A cookie is a small file a website saves in your browser. We only use cookies that Report My Rent needs to work, such as keeping you signed in and keeping your payment safe. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not use them to track you around the internet. Because these cookies are needed for the service, we do not ask you to accept them.

The cookies we use

• rmr_session (Report My Rent). Keeps you signed in to your account. Kept for: 30 days, renewed each time you visit.
• rmr_signed_in (Report My Rent). Tells our pages you are signed in, so we show your account instead of sign-up buttons. It holds no personal information. Kept for: 30 days, renewed each time you visit.
• __stripe_mid (Stripe). Set by our payment provider on the payment step, to keep card payments safe and stop fraud. Kept for: 1 year.
• __stripe_sid (Stripe). Set by our payment provider on the payment step, to keep card payments safe and stop fraud. Kept for: 30 minutes.

Website analytics

We use PostHog to understand how people use the website, so we can improve it. It runs without cookies and saves nothing in your browser.

Other storage

When you sign in, your browser remembers your email address until you close the tab, so you do not have to type it again on the next screen.

Turning cookies off

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block ours, you will not be able to sign in. If you block Stripe's, you may not be able to pay.
