Terms
Last updated: 1 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Wollit Ltd for the Report My Rent service. Please read them before you start: you agree to them when you confirm your rent. They do not affect your legal rights as a consumer.
The short version
- We report your eligible rent to Experian, Equifax and TransUnion, so it can show on your credit files.
- We report rent you have paid, in line with the rules Experian, Equifax and TransUnion set.
- If we can't find your rent one month, tell us, so we can find it and report it.
- Experian, Equifax and TransUnion use the rent you pay to build your credit profile, and take it into account in your credit score with them. Every file is different, so we cannot promise a higher score, or that any lender will approve you.
- It costs £4.99 a month or £49.99 a year. You pay nothing until we find your rent.
- Cancel at any time in your account. Cancel in the first 14 days and you get all your money back.
1. Who we are
Report My Rent is a trading name of Wollit Ltd ("Wollit", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 10687003. Our registered office is 35 Ballards Lane, London N3 1XW. Wollit is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZA554988.
You can contact us at [email protected]. We will contact you by email, at the address you sign in with, so please keep it up to date.
2. What Report My Rent does
- You connect the bank account you pay your rent from. The connection is read only: we can see your transactions, but we cannot move money.
- We look for payments that look like your rent, and you confirm which one is your rent.
- Once a month, we report your eligible rent payments to Experian, through the Experian Rental Exchange, and to Equifax and TransUnion, in line with the rules Experian, Equifax and TransUnion set, so they can appear on your credit files with those agencies. We do not report to any other agency.
3. Who can use Report My Rent
To use Report My Rent, you must:
- be 18 or over and live in the UK;
- rent your home under a tenancy, from a private landlord, a housing association or a council;
- pay the rent yourself, from a UK bank account in your name that you can connect to us.
We can only report rent that is eligible under the rules set by Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. If your rent is not eligible yet, you keep your account, you pay nothing, and we email you when we can start.
You may only report your own rent, and you may only have one account. The details you give us, such as your full name, date of birth and address, must be true and match the details your bank and lenders hold for you. The agencies use them to put the rent on the right credit file. Wrong details can mean the rent is not reported, or is reported to the wrong person.
4. Your bank connection
TrueLayer connects your bank account to us. TrueLayer provides this as a regulated service, and you give your consent to TrueLayer on its own screens, under its own terms. Because Wollit acts as TrueLayer's agent, those screens and your bank may show the name Wollit.
Wollit Ltd is acting as an agent of TrueLayer, who is providing the regulated Account Information Service and is Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 and Electronic Money Regulations 2011 (Firm Reference Number: 901096).
Your bank connection needs renewing from time to time. We will email you before it runs out. If it runs out, or you disconnect it, we cannot see your rent and cannot report it for those months. Your plan keeps running until you cancel, so please renew the connection when we ask. You can disconnect at any time, in your bank's app or by contacting us.
5. Finding and reporting your rent
We use automated checks to find payments that look like your rent, and you confirm the right one. When you confirm a payment as your rent, you are telling us that it is your rent for the home you have given us.
It can take some time for a reported month to appear on your credit file. When it appears, and how it is shown, is up to each agency.
If we can't find your rent in a month, we'll let you know. If you have paid, please get in touch as soon as you can, so we can find the payment and report it. When a month can't be reported, it may show on your credit file as a month without a rent payment, and this can affect how lenders see your file. Your plan carries on as normal in the meantime, and you can cancel at any time in your account. Please tell us when you move home, your rent changes, or you start paying from a different account, so we can keep reporting the right payments.
If you think something we have reported is wrong, tell us. We will check it and, if it is wrong, ask the agencies to correct it. You can also get your credit report from each agency for free and ask them to correct it.
6. Price and payment
- Report My Rent costs £4.99 a month or £49.99 a year.
- You pay nothing until we have found your rent. You then pay by card, through our payment provider Stripe, for your first month or year.
- Your plan renews automatically at the start of each month or year, and we take the same payment from your card, until you cancel.
- On the yearly plan, we email you before each renewal with the date, the price and how to cancel. On the monthly plan, we email you a reminder of your plan and how to cancel every six months.
- If a payment fails, Stripe will try again over the following days. If it still fails, your plan ends and we stop reporting. We do not report a missed payment to us to any credit reference agency.
- If we change the price, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you. It applies from your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
7. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time in your account, under "Manage my plan", or by emailing us. Cancelling stops the plan from renewing.
- In your first 14 days. If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, we refund everything you have paid. The law lets a business keep a fair amount for a service you asked it to start straight away, but we choose to refund in full.
- After a yearly renewal. If you cancel within 14 days of a yearly renewal payment, we refund that payment in full.
- At any other time. Your plan runs to the end of the month or year you have paid for, and we keep reporting until then. We do not refund part of a month or year.
When we refund you, the money goes back to the card you paid with, normally within 14 days of your cancellation.
Ending your plan does not remove the months we have already reported. They are a true record of rent you paid, and the agencies normally keep them on your file for six years. Each agency decides how it shows the rent once we stop reporting.
8. Your account
You sign in with a code we email you. Keep access to your email account secure, never share a sign-in code, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
9. Our responsibility to you
We will provide Report My Rent with reasonable care and skill. If we do not, tell us and we will put it right. If we cannot, you may be entitled to a refund for the part of the service that was affected.
We are not responsible for:
- decisions that lenders, landlords or anyone else make about you;
- how the agencies hold, show or use your information, or how they calculate any score;
- delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as a fault at your bank, TrueLayer or an agency;
- losses that were not a foreseeable result of our failing to meet these terms, or any business losses, because the service is for your personal use.
Apart from the cases below, our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the problem happened.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit, including your rights as a consumer.
10. When we may end or pause your plan
We may pause or end your plan, and stop reporting, if:
- you give us false details, use someone else's details, or report rent that is not yours;
- we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse;
- you break these terms in a serious way;
- an agency or the law requires us to stop.
Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put things right. If we end your plan for any of these reasons, we will refund any part of a paid year we have not used, unless the reason is fraud.
If we stop offering Report My Rent, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email and refund any part of a paid month or year we have not used.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms to reflect changes in the law, in the service or in how the agencies work. If a change affects you, we will email you before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can cancel, and we will refund any part of a paid month or year you have not used.
12. Complaints
If you are unhappy with Report My Rent, email us at [email protected]. We aim to reply within 7 working days.
13. Other things you should know
- How we use your personal information is set out in our privacy notice.
- We may transfer this agreement to another business that takes over Report My Rent. We will tell you, and your rights under these terms will not be reduced. You can cancel if you are not happy.
- You may not transfer this agreement to anyone else.
- Nobody else has any rights under these terms.
- If a court decides that part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts, and you keep the protections of your local law.
